The Significance of MALAMAAS/Malmass...

Solar months and Lunar months are very significant for human development and purification of the consciousness.

According to Solar calculation a year is divided in 12 months time, but in Lunar month days are a little short according to the movement of Moon. In this way where a year completes in 365days, Lunar years remain for 350 days.

"So every third year an extra month is added in lunar year."

That extra month is called MALMAS, which means impure month of the year, where any important events are restricted, because, there is no Sun transition in this month. (Celebration of self-purification in MALMAS starting from 26th April to 11 May 2010)

"Shree Ganeshaye Namah"

What is YAGYA?

YAGYA the word has come from Sanskrit 'YAJAN'. It means prayer, sacrifice, surrender, concentration and sharing good and bad feelings with many people and things. Though this word has multifarious significance with our daily routines and activities. YAGYA as we study in Bhagavad Gita, it signifies action to make every one pleased, whether they are fore-fathers, Gods, family members, relatives and the many people in our surrounding community. Even for those who have no concern, we invite them to pray, eat and be happy to participate in blessings for our better future and spiritual evolution. In this regard we observe the actual meaning of YAGYA covers very wide range of significance.

YAGYA means action without expectation.
